Data collection
The main criteria was to create a new website that displayed all of the existing information but that seamlessly connected with an online database.
Critical information
The data held by the competition is critical on the day of the competition and must be recalled at regular intervals. The Data also needs to be protected well as it is private and personal data.
Ease of entry
Teams change and so do their requirements, the system was developed to provide an easy platform for teams to be able to change their own information as needed.
Tracking
Currently the project is connected with another program that maps the progress and tracks the competitors around the course. The project had to be future proofed in case there is the need to alter it in the future.
About This Project
Southern 50
Mandarin Have been involved in scouting as a personal project and took on the Southern 50 and Chiltern 20 as a pro bono project.
The requirement was that a database was developed that would allow competitors to register online for the competition and then on the day of the competition the information would be readily at hand and used in conjunction with a tracking service.
